Celebrity MasterChef fans slam the ‘most pathetic judges ever’ as Ian H Watkins and Craig Doyle reach the semi-finals

Celebrity MasterChef fans slammed the “most pathetic judges ever” after Friday’s episode, complaining that they didn’t recognise any of the judges.

The BBC chefs presented Drag Race contestant Kitty Scott-Claus, EastEnders actor Joe Swash and presenter Riyadh Khalaf as assistants to regular judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

All three had appeared on the show as contestants, but viewers strongly opposed their guest appearances.

Someone wrote on X: ‘That is the most pathetic jury panel ever. #CelebrityMasterChef.’

Another said, “Who is the ‘celebrity’ in the midst of the ‘judges’?

The BBC show featured Drag Race contestant Kitty Scott-Claus, former EastEnders actor Joe Swash and presenter Riyadh Khalaf as assistants to regular judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace

And a third joked: ‘Next episode five ‘who are they’ #CelebrityMasterchef’

The three guest judges were quick to give their opinions on This Morning star Craig Doyle’s dishes, with his venison steak in plum sauce winning universal praise.

Kitty called his dish “perfection,” while Joe called the cabbage and bacon “stunning” and Riyadh said he would “love” to get the same dish from a chef.

Steps star Ian H Watkins didn’t receive as much praise from the panel.

Kitty was impressed with the way he prepared the sirloin steak, but both she and Riyadh complained that the fat should have been crispier.

Joe joked that he got a “blow” of all sorts of different flavors after tasting the garlic mushrooms.

But the Tragedy singer won them over with his chocolate marmalade pudding, a nod to the dish his twin brothers Macsen and Cybi, eight years old, loved to eat at home.

But Edith Bowman failed to pull off her carpaccio dish and her aubergine parmigiana was deemed ‘lacking ambition’

Ultimately, H and Craig both made it through to the semi-finals, but Edith Bowman failed to make it to the final with her carpaccio dish.

Ultimately, it turned out that her eggplant parmigana “lacked ambition” and so she decided to “cheer on” her former co-stars as she exited the episode.

She hugged both men as she left the show and admitted that she had “enjoyed” the show, even though she was “sad” about being eliminated.

H said: ‘I thought I was lost, I’m speechless!’, while Craig remained humble and thanked the judges.
