Celebrity gardener Charlie Albone finally sells his Central Coast home for $2.2million after slashing the price from $3.2million
Better Homes and Gardens star Charlie Albone has finally sold his country retreat for $2.2 million.
The sprawling four-bedroom, three-bathroom property is located on the New South Wales Central Coast and first hit the market in February with a guide price of $3 million to $3.2 million.
When the sale fell through, the 2.07-acre parcel came back on the market in March with a revised asking price from $2.45 million to $2.65 million.
Charlie purchased the estate in 2012 with his wife Juliet Love for $840,000, reports The Daily Telegraph.
The highlight of this beautiful rural retreat in Ourimbah, 92km from Sydney, is a gorgeous English-style cottage set in beautifully maintained, landscaped gardens.
Other highlights include a separate ‘unit’ with its own kitchen and bedroom.
There is also a lovely sheltered terrace in the rear garden, hidden beneath a vine-covered alcove, and a saltwater swimming pool.
Other amenities include a classic porch, vegetable garden and fire pit.

The house also has stables and the master bedroom has a walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom with bath.
The estate consists of five pastures, plus the main grounds, which has access to town water and tanks with a capacity of 100,000 litres.
The average house price in Ourimbah, which is 12km from Gosford, now stands at $800,000.
In 2020, Charlie and his wife, who is an interior designer, also purchased a fixer-upper in Maroubra for $2.355 million.
The serial renovators later modernized the house, just as they did with the Ourimbah estate, which is now for sale.

The purchase follows Charlie’s decision to leave Foxtel’s Selling Houses Australia in 2019 to join the Better Homes and Gardens team, replacing Jason Hodges.
Jason was brutally ousted from Channel Seven’s lifestyle show after 16 years.
But Charlie was thrilled to get the job in 2020.
He told fans on Instagram at the time: “Excitement overload! For those of you who don’t know, I’m joining the amazing team at Better Homes and Gardens.”
