Celebrity chef Manu Feildel fools his fans with ‘saucy by Manu’ fragrance
It’s April Fool’s Day, so social media has been awash with celebrities trying to fool their fans with weird and wacky ads.
And celebrity chef Manu Field, 49, jumped on this trend by announcing on his Instagram that he’s launching a ‘Saucy by Manu’ fragrance inspired by his range of sauces.
He posted a sultry black and white photo of himself with a photoshopped perfume bottle in the bottom corner.
The chef left the caption of the snapshot blank, hoping that some of his fans would fall for the poorly edited photo.
While many of the followers saw the April Fools’ prank, others were disappointed when they realized Many wasn’t actually putting out a perfume.

Chef Manu’s food range has become popular in recent years, after he awkwardly discovered that his sauce sachets were one of the few items Australians weren’t stocking up on during the covid pandemic in 2020.
At the time, the celebrity chef tried to drizzle on his signature sauce when he noticed that there were still plenty of packets in the rows of empty shelves at his local Woolworths.
Even though customers cleared out the fresh meat section, they didn’t seem interested in their gourmet sauce.
“You guys know how much I love my salsa,” Manu said in an Instagram video of his trip to the stores at the time.
Looking at the almost empty shelves, he added: ‘Then we can do some lamb. And lots of sauce. Hmm!

The My Kitchen Rules judge expressed his surprise in the caption, before urging fans to “be nice.”
“Going to the stores for dinner after work is a bit more difficult right now, shelves are empty everywhere!” he wrote.
“Be kind to each other and buy only what you need (and I always need sauce) so there will be enough for everyone when they need it,” he added.
