Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver teams up with MasterChef judge Melissa Leong to host food event in Sydney
Jamie Oliver has announced he is coming to Australia to give a reading at the Sydney Opera House.
The British restaurateur, 48, revealed that on Saturday, November 11, he will talk with MasterChef judge Melissa Leong about all things food and health.
On Thursday, he shared a lengthy post on Instagram, also revealing that he would “tell his story” about the very first BBC television series he took part in.
Australia, I’m coming for you! Join us at the Sydney Opera House on Saturday, November 11 to talk to the amazing Melissa Leong!’ He wrote.
“I’ll tell my story from the early Naked Chef days to how I continue to help you all cook fresh and delicious food!”

He continued, “And I will, of course, talk about why I will always fight to keep children’s health at the top of the agenda.”
Ticket prices for the speaker event start at $49, while “premium” seats retail for $89.
It comes after Jamie co-starred with Melissa, 41, as a guest judge on this year’s season of MasterChef.

The TV star also joined judges Andy Allen and the late Jock Zonfrillo for the new season called MasterChef: Secrets and Surprises.
The news was revealed on MasterChef Australia’s official page in April ahead of the show’s May 1 premiere.
“I am very excited to be back in the kitchen of MasterChef Australia, and honored to be joining Jock, Andy and Mel to kick off the new season of Secrets & Surprises,” Jamie said in a statement at the time.
He shared a lengthy post on Instagram on Thursday, also revealing that he would “tell his story” about the first-ever BBC television series he took part in
He added, “I want to give the participants some little bits of advice, some techniques, and most importantly some thoughts, that can help them navigate some of the big moments ahead.”
Jamie previously appeared on the show in 2012.
He is known for his love of British and Italian cuisine, his cooking show and cookbooks.
Hailing from Essex, the chef is reported to have a net worth of over £240 million.
It comes after Jamie guest starred alongside Melissa, Andy Allen and the late Jock Zonfrillo on this year’s season of MasterChef.
