Lauren Simon failed to pronounce Colson Smith’s name during Friday’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother as she wondered who might have voted her in for eviction.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star, 51, had a heart-to-heart with Big Brother after discovering on Thursday she would face the series’ first public vote.
While she wondered if Colson might have voted for her because she mispronounced his name, she proved her point by continuing to mispronounce his name.
Stumbling over his name, she eventually settled on ‘Collester’ because she didn’t pronounce his name correctly once.
Fans took to social media and branded Lauren ‘rude’ for her repeated mistake.

While she wondered if Colson might have voted for her because she mispronounced his name, she proved her point by mispronouncing his name.
On Twitter, one person wondered: “Lauren, how hard is it to say Colson,” while a second wrote: “What’s so hard about saying COLSON??”
A third advised: “Lauren, look at the letters COLSON and then say his name. Or better yet, ask the boy how his name is pronounced.’
Another made the point: “After you’ve lived with someone for three days, you really need to know their name. I don’t like people who pretend to be fat. It’s not funny.’
While another added: ‘Lauren not remembering Colson’s name is simply rude and a very valid reason to nominate her! So dismissive and out of line’.
Another commented: ‘Colson is an easy name to say, it must 100% be a joke or just plain rude.’
Another asked: ‘Collester’ is definitely harder to pronounce and remember than his actual name, which is COLSON.’
Lauren received six nominations during Thursday’s episode from Bradley Riches, Colson, Gary Goldsmith, Marisha Wallace, Nikita Kuzmin and Zeze Millz.
Colson explained that his reason was that the star had not learned his name and had called him a series of other titles, including ‘Colchester’.

Lauren joins Gary, who is also eligible for the public vote after previously being nominated by celebrity tenant Sharon Osbourne, who had the power to nominate one housemate to face the first live eviction.
The housemates were also left stunned during the episode when it was revealed that Lauren and Louis Walsh had broken the rules by discussing nominations.
Big Brother read Louis and Lauren’s conversation to the rest of the house, with Lauren also referring to Zeze when she said, “She hates me.”
Asked to stand up, Lauren tried to apologize, saying, “I’m sorry for putting you all in this situation. I talked about my emotions and how I felt when I was nominated.
“Honestly, I live with a group of people who I have come to love and adore, and it makes me angry that a few different people, and not just one person, nominated me.
“I’m sorry for putting everyone in this situation and I apologize.”
Louis stands up and says, “I couldn’t understand how she got nominated because she’s such a great person. I didn’t want to lose her. That’s all.’
