The 53-year-old Welsh actress plays Morticia Addams in the Netflix hit Wednesday, where Jenna Ortega plays her on-screen psychic daughter.

But she has shown that her role as a mother on the show was not far from her everyday life in a video that shows her daughter in real life with dramatic black eyeliner and a jaded look on her face when she was younger.

Sharing the video with her 4.8 million Instagram followers, Catherine wrote: ‘Carys my real daughter as a child.

“I have had a Wednesday Addams in my life for 19 years and 9 months. Morticia and I love you my little rain cloud.’

Little Carys, who is now 19 years old, is seen sporting a dramatic black smoky eye look with dark lipstick.

Her chocolate brown curly locks are worn naturally and she seems to be giving a very boring look to something on her right side.

Apparently to take part in a children’s performance on stage, Carys doesn’t look too pleased with the singing that’s going on.

Wednesday is sent to the school, which houses outcasts such as mermaids, werewolves, and gorgons, against her will.

Currently, the series continues to dominate the Netflix charts and has become the streamer’s third most popular English-language TV series, according to Term.

Wednesday has broken records since it debuted on the platform last month, with the record for the most hours watched in a week for a series in English.

It logged a total of 341.23 million hours watched just one week since its premiere and has garnered 411.29 million more viewers since that achievement was announced.

Speaking to her followers, Catherine explained: “My Christmas tree has a Wednesday feel to it, I’m allergic to colour.”

The actress referenced a scene from the hit series supernatural in which Morticia requests a special black and gray school uniform for Wednesday because she is “allergic to color.”
