Prince dancer Catherine Vernice ‘Cat’ Glover has died at the age of 60.
“It is with great sadness that we officially announce the passing of Catherine Vernice Glover – AKA “Cat”. Please allow her children, family and friends privacy during this difficult time. A further statement will be released in due course,” read the announcement, which was shared on her official Facebook page on Tuesday, per TMZ.
The note ended with, “Dance with the angels, we love you,” with three hearts.
Cat worked with Prince as a choreographer, backing vocalist, dancer and even rapped on his albums.
Her death comes eight years after Prince died at age 57 from an accidental fentanyl overdose.
