She wowed on the red carpet in a sparkling gold dress while attending the Cannes Film Festival premiere of her new film Rumors on Saturday night.

And Cate Blanchett looked chic again as she attended the official afterparty at Lucia restaurant in Cannes shortly after the screening.

The Australian actress, 55, stunned in a fruit print woven top with dramatic sleeves and a flared peplum hem.

She paired this with flattering leather pants that showed off her muscular legs, pointed pumps and gold earrings.

Looking youthful as ever, the svelte blonde accentuated her age-defying complexion with pink blush, taupe lipstick and liquid eyeliner, and styled her hair with a tousled updo.

Rumors received a four-minute standing ovation from the audience after the screening in Cannes.

“While part of the audience emptied as the credits rolled, the majority of filmgoers waited patiently to pay their respects to the film’s stars,” the publication reported.

However, Cate’s co-star Alicia Vikander was not in attendance.

On the red carpet, Cate stunned in a sparkling gold dress with dramatic pleats on the bodice, beading on the shoulders and a dramatic fishtail skirt.

She then further accessorized the sparkling ensemble with a pair of diamond earrings.

The star was also joined on the carpet by her co-star Denis Ménochet, 47, who cut a dapper figure in a black tuxedo with a white bow.

Cannes is the world’s largest film festival, first conceived in 1939 as an alternative to the then fascist-influenced Venice Film Festival.

It has been held annually since 1946, except in 1948 and 1950, when it was canceled due to lack of funds.
