Cate Blanchett chose her son as her date for The 2024 Albies, organized by The Clooney Foundation for Justice, in New York on Thursday evening.
The actress, 55, walked hand in hand with her eldest son Dashiell, 22, as the pair dressed up for the glamorous evening.
The Australian star looked sensational as she opted for a black, sequined floaty top which she paired with black leather trousers.
She completed her look with a pair of tiny black heels and a small clutch bag and added a touch of light pink lipstick as she beamed next to her son.
The couple’s rare appearance comes amid speculation that Cate and her husband Andrew Upton called off their marriage earlier this year.

The couple are also parents to sons Roman Robert, 20, and Ignatius Martin, 16, and daughter Edith Vivian Patricia, nine.
Cate and Dashiell were spotted together earlier this summer after he attended the Cannes Festival with his mother in May.

After completing film school in 2022, the Oscar winner’s eldest son scored a role in the crew of the Ryan Gosling action film The Fall Guy as an assistant in the camera department.
Meanwhile, rumors of marital problems for Cate and her husband swirled as the star was spotted several times without her wedding ring.

But instead of wearing her white gold and diamond wedding sparkler, the Blue Jasmine star wore a large emerald green cocktail ring.
Meanwhile, her husband was not present at the event.
Curiously, Cate was also spotted ring-free in February, when she attended an event in New York at the Museum of Modern Art on February 6.
Cate made no attempt to hide her bare wedding finger as she smiled for photos outside the exclusive event.
In October 2023, Cate was seen again without her wedding ring as she sat front row at Stella McCartney’s runway show during Paris Fashion Week.
However, Cate appeared to shake off rumors of the couple’s split in March attended a special event launching her role as creative director of alcohol brand Toku Saké.
Like his wife Cate, Andrew is from Australia, was born and raised in Sydney and studied at the University of Sydney before becoming a screenwriter, playwright and director.
