A funny feline encounter seemed to frighten the wives of brothers and baseball players David and Dominic Fletcher when they first faced each other.
During a game between the Angels and Diamondbacks in Anaheim, California on Friday night, a cat got loose on the field.
The calico cat ran across the sand and then bumped into the grandstand – two women sitting there, startled.
While one screamed and the other laughed, the cat kept running around them. It is not clear what happened to the cat.
Closer examination of the footage reveals that the two women startled by the beast were Emily Edwards and Kierra Fletcher – the wives of brothers Dominic and David Fletcher, respectively.

That’s because she is Emily Edwards, the wife of Dominic Fletcher (L). She sat next to Kierra Fletcher, wife of David Fletcher (R) when the brothers first faced each other in the majors
A post on Instagram from Kierra after the game showed the pair with their spouses on the pitch.
Edwards, the more frightened of the two, left the comment “spiders” underneath as other users inquired about the cat’s well-being and laughed at their expense.
This was the first time that David and Dominic played against each other as Dominic recently made his big league-debut in April.
But the younger brother got an edge over his older brother as the Diamondbacks beat the Angels 6-2.
The Fletcher brothers have not played each other in the major leagues, but both opted to represent Italy together at the World Baseball Classic this year.
