Cat Deeley looked radiant as ever as she enjoyed a day out on the beach with her four-year-old son James on Tuesday.

The TV presenter, 46, showed off her incredible figure as she slipped into a red bikini while building sandcastles with her youngest son.

The So You Think You Can Dance star, who is also mum to Milo, six, with husband Patrick Kielty, also wore a beige sun hat.

Styling her blonde locks in an updo, Cat added a pair of aviator sunglasses to her look.

James was dressed in a yellow top and blue shorts as he had a so-called ‘shovel fight’ with his mother in the heartwarming photo.

Cat’s outing comes after ITV revealed that its dedicated children’s channel CITV will close later this year after entertaining young viewers for nearly two decades.

Cat rose to fame alongside Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly on SMTV: Live as CITV shows aired on ITV, fronting the iconic program from 1998 to 2001.

Before launching as an exclusive channel in 2006, CITV was the brand used to broadcast children’s afternoon shows, and was first used in 1983.

The channel has been home to iconic shows such as Jungle Run, The Worst Witch, and Art Attack.

But now ITV is planning to move its entire range of children’s books programming to its new streaming platform ITVX, with a dedicated destination called ITVX Kids.

Explaining their decision, ITV bosses revealed that the average number of children’s TV broadcasts watched by 4-15 year olds per week has fallen by 62% since 2019.

Ratings on streaming numbers are up 30% over the same period.

“The wealth of content will be available to stream for free, with the option for parents to opt for ad-free viewing, via a subscription to ITVX Premium.”

The launch will begin in July and will roll out during the school summer break, with the CITV channel discontinued in the fall.
