A woman who disappeared after leaving a party in an Uber last week has been found dead at a hotel.

Josie George, a London-based self-employed creative director and casting agent, was reported missing on Sunday after she was seen leaving the party in west London.

Mrs George was found dead in a hotel on Tower Bridge. The Metropolitan Police said they are treating her death as “unexpected” but not suspicious.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 11:30am on Tuesday 20 December, police went to a hotel on Tower Bridge Road, SE1, after the body of a woman was found.

Ms George, a London-based self-employed creative director and casting agent, was seen leaving the West London party in an Uber.

“The death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious and is being investigated.

His closest relatives have been informed. A report will be prepared for the coroner.

Ms George’s heartbroken friends paid tribute to her on social media.

People close to Josie paid tribute to her on social media, with her friend Sly Augustin writing on Instagram: “On Monday 19th December our dear friend Josie George passed away sadly.”

“Naturally, her friends and family are devastated and trying to deal with the loss. We respectfully ask that his family and friends have space to process his passing at this extremely heartbreaking time. Thank you.’

Another friend, Beej, said before her death that she had disappeared after an Uber ride to her home in London.

Excited about life and her career, Ms. George’s Twitter bio read: “Talent agent, dancer/choreographer, general lover of all things fun and funky.”
