Cash App founder Bob Lee ‘visited the drug dealer’s home with his alleged killer’s married younger sister just hours before he was stabbed’: Friends say the pair were dating and claim she had a drug problem

  • Lee was killed in the early hours of April 4 while visiting San Francisco
  • Friends say he dated Nima Momeni’s younger sister

Cash App founder Bob Lee visited a drug dealer’s apartment with the sister of the man accused of killing him just hours before he was stabbed, it is alleged.

Lee was killed in the early hours of April 4 while visiting San Francisco from Miami, where he moved with his family last year.

Prosecutors have charged Nima Momeni, an IT entrepreneur, with his death. He is the elder brother of Khazar Momeni, known as Tina to her friends, who had a close friendship with Lee.

Friends have alleged that Khazar was dating Lee despite being married to plastic surgeon Dino Elyassnia, and one alleged in a recent interview with The San Francisco standard that she had a drug problem.

“She actually asked me to buy drugs with my money,” said Samira Kuduzovi, who was friends with her.

On the day of his murder, Lee and Khazar visited the home of a man who has a criminal record for dealing drugs, according to police sources.

It is unclear if they bought anything from him that day. A previously filed court motion says the trio “drank” at his home.

The name of the man in question has not been mentioned.

The apparent connection to drugs echoes an earlier claim that Lee had an argument with Nima Momeni over Khazar hours before the stabbing.

Friends claimed that Nima was worried that his sister was involved in a bad mob and had been taking drugs.

According to the friends, Lee assured him she wasn’t.

Robert Canny, a lawyer who spoke on behalf of Khazar Momeni and her husband during her brother’s first trial, did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s questions.

Authorities have not released further details about illegal substances involved in the case.

Paula Canny, the lawyer representing Nima, previously suggested that police had arrested the wrong person.

“It looks like they think they have enough to make an arrest, but I haven’t seen it.

So, until I see it and analyze it, I’m going to say they made a mistake. There’s not enough [to hold him].

“My client is a super nice person, his family loves and supports him.

“There’s so much more to it — and a much bigger backstory — than what’s even been revealed in the administration’s plea,” she said in an interview with NBC News.

She told The San Francisco Standard that she explored drug use as a “theme” as part of her defense.

“We are actively investigating the background of all parties’ behavior during the three or four days leading up to the incident.

“A common theme that I see is heavy illegal use of narcotics,” she said.

Local officials in San Francisco celebrated Momeni’s arrest and the fact that he and Lee knew each other.

They were eager to allay fears that Lee’s death was just another example of the indiscriminate violence plaguing the city.

Momeni is due back in court today in San Francisco.
