Cash App boss Bob Lee ‘threw money around like confetti’ and ‘always had gorgeous women around him’
Acquaintances of murdered Cash App founder Bob Lee have said he “threw money around like confetti” and “always had beautiful women around him.”
The comments were made by those who claimed to be part of “The Lifestyle” — a San Francisco swinger scene that Lee allegedly submerged in before his death.
“It only took one look to know he was rich and powerful,” one member named Meg shared The messenger. “He threw money around like confetti.”
Another member, who was identified only as a male tech executive, told the publication that Lee always had women around him and that “many gorgeous women really liked him.”
Bob Lee, 43, was stabbed to death with a kitchen knife in the early hours of April 3. Prosecutors have charged Nima Momeni, 38, with the murder – he is a brother of Khazar Elyassnia, 37, who was with Lee the day he died and involved in the parties.

“It’s all everyone is talking about,” said Meg, who supposedly proved she was part of the scene by sharing group texts and social media posts to The Messenger.
“He was well known and actually everyone seemed to like him a lot,” she added. “So for this to happen… I’m really surprised.”
“It’s an atmosphere,” the person who claimed to be a technical director told the publication. It’s not like there’s a list of members. It’s informal.’
“It’s all about open relationships, sexual freedom and low judgment,” he added. “It sounds shocking to some people, but it really isn’t.
It’s just a lot of warm people enjoying their lives.’
The details of the exclusive San Francisco social scene were first revealed by The Wall Street Journal.
Lee and the suspect’s sister were part of the throng of affluent revelers who attended riotous events where swingers and cheaters gathered for drug-fuelled sex.
Speaking to a range of insiders who knew Lee and partied among members, the Journal painted a picture of the scene.
Lee, who was known for being creative, adventurous and loyal to his friends, began to change in the months before his death. He would “get in over his head” due to “The Lifestyle” circles he was involved in.
New footage released Wednesday shows the timeline of events leading up to the alleged murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee last month
Lee and murder suspect Nima Momemi are seen in an elevator in the building about an hour and a half later after Lee arrives at the Millennium Tower
The pair are next seen exiting the building and approaching a white BMW convertible
Nine new surveillance images were released last week showing Lee and Momeni together shortly before he was stabbed.
That footage shows the father-of-two and his alleged killer in Millennium Tower, where Elyassnia lives.
Lee and Elyassnia, who is married to a prominent local plastic surgeon, reportedly had an affair and partied together the night of his murder.
The first image in the timeline, obtained by NBC Bay Areashows Lee arriving at Elyassnia’s building and entering the lobby at 12:39 AM.
A second image shows Lee and Momemi in an elevator in the building about an hour and a half later, and a third image shows them exiting the elevator in the tower’s garage and walking toward a white convertible BMW.
Lee and Momeni are then seen getting into the car on a fourth surveillance image.
In the following surveillance video, Lee appears to be walking alone down Main Street, near where police say the murder took place.
The final image shows Lee near a white Toyota Sedan that he allegedly tried to flag down before collapsing.
On April 4, Lee was filmed on surveillance cameras as he staggered into a downtown San Francisco apartment building at 2:35 a.m. after being stabbed

At trial, Momemi disagreed with his own attorney Paula Canny over the date for his preliminary hearing, with the defendant wanting the earliest possible date, NBC Bay Area reported.
Prosecutors are expected to release new details of their investigation at the preliminary hearing, scheduled for May 30, when a judge will decide whether there is enough evidence to bring the murder case to trial.
Momemi’s lawyer revealed in court last week that he is not a US citizen and was at risk of being sent back to Iran.
Lee’s stabbing death on April 4 was originally believed to be the result of random violence in the crime-ridden city of San Francisco.
