Carson Wentz opted for a mix of his three former teams in completing an off-season workout as the search for his next move continues.
Wentz, 30, is still without a team heading into the preseason after being released by the Washington Commanders in February after struggling to replicate the solid form he displayed earlier in his career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
It marks a significant fall from grace for the quarterback, who has gone from being the No. 2 draft pick and a favorite for the league MVP award to being unemployed in nearly seven years.
ESPN previously reported that he would be open to a backup role to stay in the NFL for the next season, though no offers seem to have come in so far.
And while the hunt for his next team is on, Wentz bizarrely trains in gear from all three of his former organizations.

He captioned the post, “Back in the lab… just looks a little different this year #alternateuniforms #trainingcamp2023.”
The nostalgic uniform could well be Wentz’s creative effort to showcase himself and remind would-be suitors who he’s represented throughout his career.
Wentz started seven games last year for the Commanders and threw 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing 62.3 percent of his passes for 1,755 yards before being benched for backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke. He also suffered a broken finger in October last year.
Before leaving for Washington, the North Carolina-born quarterback was on the Colts roster, where he had a series of underperformances – including a Week 18 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars that ended their playoff hopes and the end of his short stay. with the squad.
During his time with the Eagles, who brought him to the NFL as No. 2 in 2016, Wentz was on course to be crowned MVP before suffering a torn ACL.
Philadelphia won the Super Bowl that season, with backup quarterback Nick Foles stepping to the plate in his absence while watching from injured reserve.
In the years that followed, injuries destabilized Wentz’s career, eventually leaving him without a contract as the pre-season got under way.
