Carrie Underwood received a warm welcome in Hawaii ahead of her two sold-out shows in the Aloha State.

Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi and state Director of Business, Economic Development and Tourism James Tokoika declared July 18 “Carrie Underwood Day” in honor of the Grammy winner.

The 41-year-old singer, whose Nashville mansion was damaged by a small fire, was the first artist in the state’s 65-year history to receive simultaneous awards.

“With sincere aloha, we thank her for bringing her live show to Hawaii and fulfilling the dreams of thousands of fans who have been eagerly awaiting this opportunity,” said Mayor Blangiardi.
