Carrie Bradshaw eat your heart out! The $20 Million Arizona Home Has a Breathtaking Closet and Ultra-Colorful Decor That Would Make the Sex and the City Icon Green with Envy

An Arizona home with ultra-colorful decor and a breathtaking closet that Carrie Bradshaw would envy has hit the market for $20 million.

Located between Scottsdale and Phoenix, the 17,000-square-foot home is in Paradise Valley, the wealthiest zip code in the state.

Tracy and Jeff Katz, the co-founder of Mercury Payment Systems, bought the house in 2013 for $9.2 million after falling in love with the Spanish-style home.

Joan Levinson, a relator who specializes in unique properties in Arizona, exclusively told DailyMail.com that her client was not inspired by Carrie Bradshaw or anyone else.

Tracy and Jeff Kantz bought the house in 2013 for $9.2 million and proceeded to renovate every room

She said Tracy is just a “very happy and fun person” with a unique eye for design.

‘When people see these types of estates, they expect everything to be very tidy. But here you feel very comfortable. You don’t have to worry about where to put your glass,” Tracy said The Wall Street Journal.

The entire house is on one level, with the exception of the guesthouse, which is finished with red velvet Christian Lacroix fabric covering the hallway and bird-patterned fabric in the bedroom.

The couple renovated the luxury property from 2015 to 2023, expanding the master suit closet by 1,800 square feet and wrapping it entirely in gold leaf.

“It’s honestly the nicest closet I’ve ever been in,” Tracy said.

The cabinet is also completed with an extraordinary three-way mirror and a cedar cabinet suitable for cashmere pieces.

They’ve also made a number of additions to their enchanted home, including three more bedrooms, a wellness room and a children’s playroom.

The wellness area is fully equipped with a sauna and a cold plunge pool in the main suite.

In addition to the additions, the couple redid the kitchen and every room in the house.

Inside there are also a total of seven bedrooms, a home theater and a wood-paneled library.

Each room is complemented by authentic, antique artwork and furnishings, all of which Levinson revealed were “handpicked.”

Some pieces in the house date back to 2800 BC and the 1800s, including art deco and contemporary pieces.

In addition to the home’s spectacular interior, numerous patios, a large basketball court, a vegetable garden with stone sink and a lemon arbor make up the backyard.

The unique art and furnishings are not included in the home’s price tag, but Levinson told DailyMail.com that they can be sold separately

Levinson told DailyMail.com that the eccentric art and furnishings are not included in the home’s price tag, but that her clients are willing to sell them separately.

She also added that the home has numerous patios perfect for entertaining, including a vegetable garden with a stone sink and a lemon arbor in the backyard.

There is also an abundance of plants, including Arizona’s famous cacti. The backyard also has a large basketball court, children’s playhouse and endless amounts of grassland.

Matthew Bolland, an interior designer from Scottsdale, helped Tracy turn the house into a home.

‘He and I were the same age and had the same vocabulary. I could say things to him and he knew exactly what I meant,” Tracy said of Bolland.

The pair traveled across the country to find the most unique pieces, including an emerald chandelier from a Manhattan antique store and an art deco table from Rome that sat in the living room.

Tracy said her favorite place in the house is the living room, which also features built-in sofas placed on either side of the fireplace.

After seeing what twelve different plants would look like in the corner of the living room, Bolland said, “None of the plants worked, so we made our own.”

The couple has decided to move and downsize since their children moved out.

The Paradise Valley home offers beautiful views of the Camelback and Mummy Mountains and is within walking distance of Scottsdale and Phoenix.

Levinson, who lives in the area, said many Californians have moved to Arizona in recent years because of the pandemic, consistent warm weather and lower tax rates.

Only large buildings are built on the aces of Paradise Valley and are surrounded by luxury stores such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton.
