Carrie Bickmore has a bun in the oven! Radio star astounds fans with exciting new post: ‘Wow!’

Carrie Bickmore surprised her fans with an exciting message on social media.

The 43-year-old radio star shared the result of a homemade bread recipe on Instagram on Friday, which her former Project colleague Kate Langbroek had provided.

One photo showed the crispy exterior of Carrie’s homemade bun, followed by another showing slices of the baked bun spread with Vegemite.

‘Baking bread for the first time. Bread eaten in one go by the kids. Easiest recipe ever,’ she wrote in the caption, before thanking Langbroek.

“Literally no kneading! Check out Jim Lahey’s Easy No-Knead Artisan Bread,” she added helpfully.

Fans responded enthusiastically to the post, with one saying: ‘I can amaze my family too!!’ if she follows the recipe.

‘I am now obsessed with learning how to make bread! I love this. Well done,’ added another.

But Carrie’s bread isn’t the only success the radio star has had lately.

On Monday, Bickmore and her co-host Tommy Little announced that their show Carrie and Tommy is once again dominating the national ratings.

The radio duo won Australia’s #1 Drive Show in Melbourne and Brisbane during survey four, which was their third consecutive win.

It is the best result Hit Network has achieved for the Drive slot since 2018, and the best result in Drive for Brisbane B105 since 2010.

The 43-year-old radio star shared the results of a homemade bread recipe she received from The Project colleague Kate Langbroek on Instagram on Friday.

“We are absolutely stunned and thrilled with this result. Thank you Australia for putting us at number 1 and watching our crazy antics, laughter and fun every day,” the co-hosts said.

“This incredible result is a testament to our incredibly hard-working team and our wider team within the Hit Network.

“We can’t wait to show you all the exciting things we have in store for the rest of 2024.”

Carrie and Tommy currently have an 11.1 percent market share in Australia, with an 11.7 percent share in Melbourne and 17 percent in Brisbane.
