A cleaning guru has shared her simple trick to get your white shoelaces looking like new again, and it only takes three ingredients.

Cleaning expert Carolina McCauley has shared her favorite method of turning dirty shoelaces white again.

In her cleaning tutorial, the expert unlaced her white sneakers, then filled a bowl with hot water, a pump of dish soap, and 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide.

He put his laces in the bowl for two hours and when the two hours were up the water had turned grey.

Then she let her shiny white shoelaces dry and tied them back into her sneakers.

Carolina’s followers were impressed with the cleaning tip.

“This is very helpful,” said one mother.

‘They look amazing!’ another wrote.

Others suggested their own favorite cleaning products.

One woman advised combining laundry detergent and bleach, another said she loves using the green bar of sun soap.

Another mom said that her favorite method is to put the laces in a mesh bag in the washing machine.

Carolina often shares her favorite cleaning and styling tips and tricks on social media.

However, some Carolina supporters thought it would be better to throw the shoes away.

“Please throw those shoes away as soon as possible,” said one woman.

Luckily, Carolina previously shared her easy hack to make dirty white sneakers look like new again using two uncommon items.

He used a toothbrush and toothpaste to scrub his white leather and rubber sneakers.

Carolina started by putting a spoonful of toothpaste on the brush and rubbing the shoes ‘from top to bottom’.

Carolina then wiped the shoes down with a damp cloth to remove any excess toothpaste.

He displayed the dirty and clean shoes side by side demonstrating the ‘amazing results’ of the simple cleaning trick.

Carolina’s top tips for washing clean clothes:

* Use white vinegar instead of fabric softener for super soft clothes and bedding

* Add a few drops of your favorite essential oils in the washing machine before washing clothes to scent them

* Regularly clean the inner rubber seal with a cloth to prevent mildew from building up inside your washing machine.

* Do not use too much detergent

* AAlways wash bath towels separately for sanitary reasons, as bacteria can be transferred between material items.

* To deep clean your pillows, machine wash them with baking soda, mild detergent, hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, and eucalyptus oil.
