Carol Vorderman has revealed that she threw out her scale in 1999 when she talked about body positivity on I’m A Celebrity South Africa.
Joining Myleene Klass at camp, the girls talked about their decision to “not be ruled by a number” and discussed when they decided to stop focusing on their weight.
TV presenter Carol, 62, who is no stranger to confidently flaunting her figure on social media, admitted that she “hasn’t known her weight this century.”
During the campfire talk, Carol said, “I only go by dress size,” as Myleene explained how she threw out her scales after the birth of her two daughters.
“Every woman knows the feeling when you step on the scale in the morning and it seems like your weight has gone up,” said the former countdown host.

“Oh, I’ve put on three pounds,” but you haven’t put on three pounds of fat in a day, you physically can’t do that.
“You probably retained water. I know how tall I am or not by my volume, so I just go by how my clothes really fit.
“I call it half a dress size. So I’m actually a size 10. And I might go down to a “size nine” or a size 11, and that’s fine with me.
“I threw mine away in 1999. I haven’t known my weight this century.’
Myleene added, “The second time I had daughters, I threw off the scale. People ask me about my weight all the time and I never know.
“Why let someone measure themselves, measure their worth, measure their contribution on a scale?
She shared how it was that she had her oldest daughter Ava in 2007 that made her rethink her body image.
She said, “I think the way you look in the mirror is how they will look in the mirror. I always try not to be like ‘oh I don’t like that, I don’t like this’ as that then translates. I’m not going to let them rule by numbers. Only good grades.’

Myleene was crowned the first I’m A Celebrity Legend on Friday’s final episode of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.
The musician and broadcaster, 45, beat Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo, 30, after the pair became the remaining two stars to spend the final night at camp.
Former Hear’Say singer Myleene and Jordan made it to the final four of the series, along with Fatima Whitbread, 62, and Phil Tufnell, 57, on Thursday’s episode.
Phil was voted off by the show’s returning full cast and Fatima left after losing the Critter Countdown trial on Friday.
With their former camp mates watching, Myleene and Jordan went head to head in a gruesome final test when they predicted how many different nasty things they could eat before chewing to see if they were right.
After triumphing, Myleene – who first appeared on the show in 2006 – was named the I’m A Celebrity Legend after the King or Queen of the Jungle was dumped for this spin-off series.
Myleene said, “I’ve been in my element. I can’t believe what the jungle gave me the first time and I had the chance to relive it a second time.
“It’s one of those things, it was so magical the first time you started thinking, did I remember that as it was or did I recreate those memories?”
“They say don’t go back to an ex and don’t go back to a reheated dinner. I thought to myself oh no, what if it’s not that good? And I’ve gone back into the bush and it’s been even bigger, more majestic, bigger trials. South Africa is vast.
“And it hasn’t been against camp mates, it’s been against the best of the best.
“It’s just been great. Everything was equally magical, very tough – both mentally and physically challenging – and something I loved to throw myself into.’

However, Myleene said she struggled with the decision to return to the show, saying it was her children Ava, 15, Hero, 12, and Apollo, three, who gave her the motivation.
She explained, “It wasn’t an easy decision. We sat down as a family and it was my kids who made me say yes.
“I wasn’t a mom the first time, so I wasn’t in any danger running through the jungle in a white bikini for a few weeks. I had the time of my life and went through a few challenges and then I came out and everyone knew me for the shower! There are worse things to be known for! I had a ball the first time.
“This time I’m a mom and that changes everything. You don’t want to disappoint your children, you don’t want to say anything that will embarrass them. You don’t want to bottle out of a process.’
