‘Fortunately, after many scans and checks, we know that I have no underlying health problems.

‘So, after a good conversation with my family and friends, I took the fear for my health as a warning sign to slow down a little and decided to reduce my work to weekdays for the time being.’

Carol was left heartbroken as she stepped back from her role at LBC, as she continued: “It pains me to have to do it but I have decided not to continue with my Sunday show on @LBC.

‘I’m tired of having to make this decision as the show has been very lively and a delight, with so many new callers from all over the country and a growing number of listeners.

‘The good news is that I’m still part of the LBC family from time to time (it’s a good family), so hang in there for more details.

“In the meantime, I will continue to cause trouble and also continue to tune into LBC.”

Thanking the LBC fans and team for their support, she added: ‘Thank you again for your extraordinary support and to all my new friends at LBC – you have been amazing.

“I will continue to make a lot of mischief and expose corruption and wrongdoing. That doesn’t end, but for now a slightly less hectic chapter begins. I love you ‘.
