Carol Vorderman has revealed that she hasn’t weighed herself in 24 years and shared the secret to her incredible figure.
The former Countdown host, 62, said she went on a 28-day detox diet in 1999 after “gaining a little bit of weight” and admitted she hasn’t put on any weight since.
He revealed that he will not let doctors tell him how much he weighs when he has a medical examination, as he shared an insight into his diet and admitted that he does not cook at home.
speaking in the Table Manners podcast, Carol explained: ‘Let’s go back to my thirties, and my husband Paddy, who I loved and adored, we loved pasta and all that, but I was working so hard and it got to the point where I was eating just to stay alive, awake.
‘And I gained a little weight and I didn’t like that. So I started this detox diet. It was programmed by nutritionists at the time because it was a 28-day detox diet. No meat, no wheat, no dairy, no sugar, for 28 days.

‘Then it was all ‘no, you can’t do that’. Now it is as standard. This was for 28 days to give all of his organs a form of natural detox.
‘(I was) very high on vegetables, not potatoes. I will not buy regular potatoes because of the detox – I changed everything I bought.
‘After the detox diet, I haven’t weighed myself since 1999, I don’t know how much I weigh. I won’t let anyone tell me how much I weigh, you know when you’re going to have a medical. And in general, when I’m at home, I eat quite well.
‘But if someone has bought me chocolates or whatever, I’ll find that I’ll eat them before going to the vegetables so I don’t have it in the house.
“I’m very happy, that’s all I’ve known for 20 years.”
Giving insight into her diet, Carol also revealed that she doesn’t cook at home and tries to eat a lot. healthy vegetables and other low-calorie snacks.
However, she said she doesn’t worry about what she eats when she goes out and eats some of her favorite foods, like pasta and fish and chips.
When asked by hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware what was in her fridge, she said, “Lots of veggies, some coleslaw, fish, turmeric shots, which I love, fruit, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese.”

‘If I go and stay at other people’s houses, I’m always amazed at what they have in the fridge. But I don’t cook at home anymore, you see.
‘When I go out I’ll eat what I want. I don’t feel in denial at all. So when I get out I’ll have what I like,” he continued.
‘Good pasta I love it. I don’t like sloppy pasta. I love butter. I love fish and chips, good fish and chips, I don’t like chips, big old fashioned fries.
Carol often gives insight into her health and fitness regimen and recently showcased her workout routine in an Instagram video.
The presenter looked amazing showing off her toned midriff in a sporty crop top and skintight leggings as she lifted weights and stretched.
Carol could be seen doing squats and sweating it out in a gym with the equipment.
Clearly on a mission, he captioned the video: “TOMOZ BACK TO THE GYM.”
