Carol Vorderman showed off her incredible flexibility in a new video on her Instagram on Sunday.

The TV personality, 62, turned her kitchen into a home gym as she showed off how she stretches her legs.

Balancing on the counter and the handle of the oven, she swung her leg back and forth and kicked her foot high in the air.

During impromptu practice, Carol said, “I do this all the time. I like a good stretch!’

She showed off her incredible figure in a black long-sleeved top and close-fitting matching pants.

Captioning the clip, she wrote, “Love doing this in the kitchen…like a really cheap version (of) the parallel bars… Lols.”

She added: ‘Happy Sunday x Could just eat a good Sunday Roast dinner today…but no one here to cook it for me (NB I hate cooking!!)’

It comes after Carol revealed she recently had a terrifying cancer scare after losing her mother to the disease.

She became concerned after noticing changes in her skin, and after having a biopsy of her skin, she discovered that some of the skin cells were pre-cancerous.

Her own mother passed away in 2017 after suffering from three types of cancer, the last of which was melanoma.

Speaking to Boots, who work with Macmillan Cancer Support to promote sun safety, Carol shared her experience raising awareness.

She said, “In my late 40s, I could see that there were little patches on my skin that were irregular, so I went to see a dermatologist.

“(I had) a biopsy and a few of them were precancerous. You hear that word and it’s very frightening.’

“She hasn’t sunbathed once in her life — my mom had different skin than me, she had moles, I didn’t,” Carol said. “I know that makes you much more susceptible to melanoma.

She added: “With what I’ve been through, protecting my skin, then my mother with the melanoma and then dying, it’s really important to me and my family (to support) what Boots is doing to help customers stay safe in the to stay in the sun.

“Always wear a hat, always slather yourself with SPF 50, check yourself and if you find something get it checked as soon as possible.”

Carol’s mother—who was known as Jean, but her real name was Edwina—had been diagnosed with terminal cancer just three months before her death.

She had battled three different cancers over the past 12 years, with Carol previously revealing that her mother had been treated for skin cancer and kidney cancer, as well as had an ovarian tumor removed.

New figures show that melanoma skin cancer diagnosis has reached an all-time high across all age groups, with 17,500 people being diagnosed each year in the UK.
