It comes after Carol shut down rumors of a feud with her BBC Breakfast co-star Naga Munchetty following a series of icy on-air exchanges.

The 60-year-old weather presenter admitted that viewers of the show often ask her if she gets along with the 47-year-old newscaster after feeling tension.

Insisting that they are on friendly terms, he said Sun: ‘I love Naga and we’re just kidding. I love the camaraderie between us and everyone. It’s a good and fun job.

Naga asked Charlie Stayt, 60, if he thought Carol had a grim expression as she asked if the nation can expect snow to fall on Christmas Day.

Naga said: ‘Carol is taking a look at the weather of course for us this morning.

‘Carol… I don’t think we’re ever allowed to ask you about snow on Christmas Day. You always get that really stern look every time I ask you.

Naga then turned to Charlie and said, ‘Isn’t it?’

Carol jokingly replied, “Naga, I’d rather you ask me about snow on Christmas Day or Boxing Day, to be honest, but oh well.”

The Scottish meteorologist was hosting her regular slot on the morning news show before handing it back to Naga and Charlie Stayt.

But with the nature of live TV, Carol made a mistake and accidentally called her colleague ‘Nana’, who she says is a producer on the show, much to Naga’s apparent annoyance.

When she finished her forecast, Carol said, ‘The winds will be lighter, just a few showers coming from the northwest and temperatures ranging from nine to 13 degrees, Nana.’

He immediately added, ‘Naga, I’m sorry, we have a production company called Nana.’

The announcer quickly responded, “You say that every time, and I come to visit you, and you have a cup of tea.” I bring you a cup of tea and have a nice chat, and I never met Nana,

Joking with her co-star, Naga said, “I think Nana is a ghost producer you make up to abuse me by mispronouncing my name.”

Carol quipped, “Shame, Naga, shame,” with her face in her hands.

He then went on to explain to the viewers who Naga accidentally called, “Nana is very much alive and kicking and very lovely,” to which Naga replied, “I met Nana.” Nana is very nice.

You are very lucky to have such a nice producer, especially when you are so bad.

Making an apparent dig, Carol told Naga, “You’re horrible, but I like you.”
