Julie Andrews got together with her precious friend and colleague Carol Burnett to celebrate the comedy icon’s upcoming birthday.

The 87-year-old Mary Poppins star attended NBC’s taping of Carol Burnett: 90 Years Of Laughter Love, a two-hour special to celebrate her 90th birthday.

The show was filmed at Avalon Hollywood & Bardo in Los Angeles on Thursday and is scheduled to air Wednesday, April 26 at 8 pm ET/PT (broadcast the next day on Peacock), which is the legendary comedian’s actual birthday and actress.

The special looks back at some of the most memorable moments in Burnett’s legendary career, from her Broadway debut in Once Upon A Mattress, to her iconic role as Miss Hannigan in Annie, to her acclaimed sketch comedy series The Carol Burnett Show, which it ran for 11 seasons on CBS.

The list of celebrity guest appearances is highlighted by the reunion of Burnett and her longtime friend and colleague Julie Andrews, who was shown off on the red carpet before the filming of the special.

The star-studded event included musical performances by Bernadette Peters, Billy Porter, Jane Lynch, Katy Perry and Kristen Chenoweth, among many others.

Joining her for a round of photos on the red carpet, Andrews, 87, wore black pants with a black blazer with little white flecks and a white shirt underneath. The legendary British actress and singer also opted for black flats, and her light brown locks were styled in her signature pixie style.

Burnett and Andrews have a long history as friends and colleagues dating back more than six decades to when they performed together on The Garry Moore Show in the early 1960s.

They would team up for their first comedy special Julie And Carol At Carnegie Hall (1962), written by Mike Nichols, which featured Andrews and Burnett pulling pranks and singing various songs, such as You’re So London.
