Emergency services rushed to a house on Mary Wade Place in Carnes Hill, about 40km south-west of Sydney’s CBD, about 12.45pm on Tuesday.

Officers were told eight men wearing face coverings entered the home.

Gasoline was poured into the home, but not ignited.

The group then fled the home in two separate vehicles, while another car was parked in the driveway and suffered shotgun damage.

NSW Police believe the incident was targeted and have launched an investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Liverpool Police or Crime Stoppers.
