Carnage outside school as mom is run over by her own son after shocking act of violence

In Chile, a chaotic brawl broke out on the street outside a school, with a student hitting his own mother with a family car and then hitting the father of a student with whom the driver had had an argument earlier at school.

The wild melee was sparked by an earlier fight between the two students on Thursday at the school in Puente Alto, outside Santiago. After their parents were called to the school, all hell broke loose – with witnesses capturing the scene on video.

Multiple clips showed several people fighting in the street, with the mother at one point attacking the father of the student her son had fought with earlier in the day, stabbing the man, authorities said.

The clips show her striking the man multiple times with her right hand. After the two separate following the fight, a white SUV driven by the woman’s son drives into her, sending her flying to the ground.

The driver then drives into the father of his rival classmate, while several people are still fighting on the street.

In another clip, the student is seen hitting the father for the second time, after which he gets out and kicks him.

Five adults and two students were arrested. All seven are due to appear in court on suspicion of attempted manslaughter, among other charges.

“When we left the school, both families started arguing and attacking each other. This resulted in two people being stabbed and two people being run over by a relative of one of the students. At the same time, both families were being beaten, threatened and harmed,” said Juan Cheuquiante, who is leading the investigation from the Metropolitan South Public Prosecutor’s Office.

‘The detainees are charged with attempted manslaughter, battery of varying severity, and vandalism and threats.’

Punto Alto Mayor Germán Codina told Chilevision Television he was concerned about the behavior of parents and students.

“Apparently there was already some violent behavior here some time ago, which was reported by the educational institution, and I am concerned that no concrete measures have been taken,” said Codina.

There will be increased police patrols at the school in the morning and afternoon.
