Cardiff City are in talks with Manchester City for Josh Wilson-Esbrand.
The 21-year-old defender is on loan at Reims this season and has made thirteen appearances in all competitions.
But he is ready to abort that move and return to the Championship, where he enjoyed a loan spell at Coventry City last season.
Wilson-Esbrand joined the Sky Blues in January last year and made fourteen league appearances.

He also played for City in the Champions League last season against FC Copenhagen and Sevilla, but has yet to make his Premier League debut.
Cardiff have already won the race to sign Liverpool defender Nat Phillips until the end of the season, beating fellow Championship club Blackburn to his signature.
As confirmed on Tuesday’s It’s All Kicking Off – Transfer Week podcastPhillips has traveled to the Welsh capital to complete his move after spending the first half of the season on loan at Celtic.
The defender failed to gain significant minutes for the Scottish champions and was recalled earlier this month.
