Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut revealed Perry Ng was forced off against Birmingham because 'he couldn't see'.
The defender went down twice in the opening thirteen minutes of the Bluebirds' 1-0 defeat to Wayne Rooney's side on Wednesday evening before withdrawing.
On both occasions, Ng appeared to fall without colliding with another player beforehand.
After getting back on his feet for the second time, he walked to the touchline and pointed to his head before being replaced by Mahlon Romeo.
“He said he couldn't see it,” Bulut told reporters at his post-match press conference.

Juninho Bacuna's goal on the stroke of half-time proved the difference as Birmingham ended a run of eight consecutive away defeats with victory at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Five of those losses have come since Rooney took charge at St Andrew's in October and the former Manchester United captain admitted he was relieved to end the dismal run.
'I'm happy with the win. The performance was good but after the run we did it was all about winning,” he said.

'We dealt with Cardiff quite well. Their set play is one of the best in the league and we struggled a bit with that, but overall I thought we limited them, especially in the second half.
'The performance was nothing special, but we controlled things, showed great determination and showed real composure before the goal.'
The win moves Birmingham up two places to 16th, while Cardiff drops to 10th, three points adrift of a play-off spot.
And Bulut admitted the manner of the defeat was far more worrying than the result, with the Bluebirds scoring just once in their past four games.
“It's not just the loss, but the way we lost that is the most disappointing,” he said.
'We did some good things in the first half, but I don't think I want to talk about the second half. We played as individuals and tried to do things, but that never works, you have to be a team.
“What we have seen in the last two games is not enough, we have to show much more. You have to fight to the end, but we didn't do that.'
