Cardi B has slammed fans for criticizing her post-partum workout routine, just 8 days after giving birth.
The 31-year-old rapper shared a few snaps of her workout routine on her Instagram Story on Sunday night.
The rapper, who announced the birth of her daughter with ex-husband Offset, 32, on Thursday, wrote on social media: ‘Since I’m free tonight I’m going to the gym late at night… No heavy lifting, no weights, just training the stairmaster until next week and then I’ll start @fitking_plem.
‘Girls, don’t forget that this is my third child. With the other two children, I had to stay in bed for the first week after giving birth.’

“I don’t do any heavy lifting, no muscle strains, no squats, none of that… just cardio. Sometimes you have to keep your mind occupied to avoid postpartum depression and for me that means working and staying active,” she said on Twitter on Monday, responding to a fan.
The musician was angry at a commenter who wrote about “the pressure women in the music industry are under” to lose weight after giving birth, noting that Cardi had just had her third child.
“But you know what’s funny? Y’all put me down when I gained 30 pounds because I was 5 months pregnant, but now y’all act like you’re concerned and wanna talk about the pressure???” Cardi hit back.
‘Y’all said I got pregnant so I wouldn’t have to work, but now that I’m still dealing with it, it’s different?? So yes, I’m taking this personally, but it’s FOR ME because no matter what, you’re going to have something to say.’
After the fan responded, saying she was speaking more generally about “society’s expectations of women and the ‘snap back’ culture,” Cardi wrote back a more positive message.
“So true honey!! And I agree with society and the pressure…I was just never the type to worry about the baby after it was born,” she said.
‘I don’t know what it is this time, but I have this energy boost that makes me want to do EVERYTHING… It’s like I want to achieve all my goals in one day.’

She also promoted wearing a waist trainer and shared a clip of herself in such a trainer.
“I wear the waist trainer for an hour a day… wear a big faja white board at work and xxxs faja during the day,” she shared Monday.
On Sunday, Cardi gave fans a glimpse into the joyous event that followed the birth of her child.
She shared a behind-the-scenes video on TikTok, capturing all the excitement in the delivery room after she and Offset welcomed a baby girl.
The intimate footage shows Cardi breastfeeding their newborn baby while Offset lovingly holds the baby in his lap during their separation.
Their older children, Kulture, six, and Wave, three, were also there, hugging their new sibling warmly with their proud parents.
