The Carabao Cup semi-final draw has been completed and a number of blockbuster games will be played around the turn of the year.

The semi-finals will take place over two legs: the first in the week starting January 6, 2025 and the second in the week beginning February 3, 2025.

In their seven-goal thriller with Man United, Tottenham won 4-3 at home to progress to the semi-finals to face Liverpool.

The Reds defeated relegation battlers Southampton to win 2-1 at St Mary’s in interim boss Simon Rusk’s first match.

Arne Slot’s table toppers travel to North London, where they will play their first semi-final match away from home.

The Gunners face Newcastle in the semi-final, who cruised past Brentford at St James’ Park to win 3–1 in the only quarter-final settled by a margin of more than one goal.

Mikel Arteta’s side will host the Magpies in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium in January before traveling to St James’ Park a month later.

Liverpool defeated Chelsea in the 2024 Carabao Cup final, winning 1–0 after extra time, with a 118th-minute winner from Virgil van Dijk stealing the spoils for the Reds.

A win over Spurs would send them to their 15th final, giving them the chance to win back-to-back EFL Cup titles for the first time since 1984, when they won their fourth title in a row.
