Cara Delevingne says she’s ‘furious’ after her Twitter/X account was hacked and ‘many people got scammed’

Cara Delevingne said she will likely delete her X Page (formerly known as Twitter) after it was recently hacked, and that company officials were slow to reset her account.

The 31-year-old actress-model took to the social media platform, where she has more than 9,000,000 followers, on Monday to explain the situation.

“I was hacked a week ago and it took me that long to get back into my account,” the London resident said on her account, which she set up in June 2011.

The supermodel said her account was hacked by scammers who set up a fake computer company to advertise to Delevingne’s followers.

“If you ever see anything about Mac books or trying to sell anything on this Twitter, it’s NOT REAL!!! Sorry guys! My sincere apologies,” she said.

Delevingne said officials at the company, which has laid off a significant portion of its workforce since Elon Musk took over, responded too slowly to the illegal hacking.

“I’m so mad at Twitter or whatever it’s called because it’s taking so long to get my account back!!” she said. ‘So many people have been scammed and I am furious.

Delevingne said the experience convinced her to delete her page on the platform, where she advertises the alternative social media sites she has a presence on.

“I’m going to delete my account so this never happens again,” she said. ‘Still on Instagram, threads and tik tok. Again, I’m so sorry.”

Delevingne was seen in her native London last Thursday with fellow models Adwoa Aboah and Emily Ratajkowski at the Vogue World and Moncler after-party.

The chic event was held at Mayfair members’ private club George, with the friends all appearing in good spirits after the bash.

Cara couldn’t hide her ripped tights as she gave a brand new take on the chic event following her ‘bizarre’ appearance on stage earlier in the evening.

The model and actress caused a stir earlier on Thursday evening when she emerged from the crowd at the Theater Royal Drury Lane wearing a colorful punk mohawk.

Cara was seen cheering as she walked around the celebrity tables as FKA Twigs performed, before jumping on stage to kiss the singer.

The newly renamed company has laid off a significant portion of its workforce since Elon Musk took over in late 2022.

Cara had worn blonde locks to the ATG Summer Party the night before, but over the course of 24 hours she had dyed her hair in a leopard print pattern with varying shades of green and pink bangs.

The fashionista opted to forgo pants as she stepped out in a lilac cardigan and white T-shirt to mingle with the stars at the after-party.

Meanwhile, British model Adwoa, 31, puts on a very leggy display in a sparkling burgundy cardigan which she paired with matching underwear.

The look was adorned with floral embellishments and she wore dramatic eye makeup and carried a chic Miu Miu bag.

She took turns holding the hands of Cara, 31, and Emily, 32, as she helped her friends navigate the busy street before helping them into their waiting cars.

Their friend Emily showed off plenty of skin in a black ripped mesh dress that showed off her toned physique.

The star paired the dress with a pair of black heeled boots that appeared to be paired with black leg warmers as she showed a glimpse of her underwear underneath the gown.

In collaboration with Moncler, the event celebrated Vogue World and the start of London Fashion Week. The celebrations – fueled by flutes of Laurent Perrier and Don Julio 1942 tequila – capped off an unforgettable fashion evening.
