A desperate search for a missing teenager continues after a boy was swept into the water near a blowhole.
Two boys who were at the site at Cape Bridgewater, 365 kilometers southwest of Melbourne, on Tuesday fell into the water around 7:30 p.m.
The teenagers, aged 14 and 15, were on the rocks before a wave is believed to have swept them into the water.
The 14-year-old is still missing and authorities resumed their search for the boy Wednesday morning.
The 15-year-old boy managed to get out of the water safely before being taken to hospital.
Authorities have resumed their search for a teenage boy who remains missing after falling from rocks at a blowhole in south-west Victoria.
Victoria Police confirmed search and rescue efforts are ongoing and police issued a notice earlier this morning.
“Police this morning resumed their search for a teenager who went missing in the waters off Cape Bridgewater, near Portland,” they said in a statement.
'A large-scale search operation was launched in the area with the assistance of Police Air Wing, Water Police, Coast Guard, HEMS ambulance helicopters and Marine Unit boats.'
