A short time later, emergency services were called to Bathurst Street, in the neighboring suburb of Wakeley, after an abandoned car was set on fire.

“The incidents – which are believed to be linked – are being investigated by officers from the Fairfield City Police Area Command, assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad,” police said.

Mr Khou’s death is believed to be the latest blow in Sydney’s gangland war, with violence between Asian crime networks escalating.
