Prime Video released the first look of the film on Tuesday.

‘Candy Cane Lane premieres on Prime Video on December 1.’

This is the Donkey’s Christmas Shrektacular star’s first live-action holiday movie in his more than 40-year career.

The film reunited Eddie with Boomerang director Reginald Hudlin.

The director described Eddie’s character, Chris Carver Peopleas a man who loves Christmas so much, he even gave all his children Christmas-themed names.’

The children are named Holly, Joy and Nick.

When Chris is unexpectedly fired just before the holiday season, he “throws himself into winning his neighborhood’s Candy Cane Lane home decorating contest, which has a huge cash prize,” the director explained.

However, after finding some incredible 12 days of Christmas decorations Chris feels sure will put him ahead of the competition, he discovers they are cursed by ‘a wayward elf called Pepper’, played by my Jillian Bell.

“Now instead of winning it all, he can lose it all!” explained the filmmaker.

The cursed ornaments are played by Nick Offerman, Chris Redd and Robin Thede.

“Nick Offerman plays a proper English gentleman from another era, while Robin Thede plays a Kardashian-esque power shopper and Chris Redd is a working-class everyman,” the director explained.

“They don’t get along all that well, but they are allies in their desperate need to escape Pepper’s clutches.”

He described Pepper as someone who ‘takes the “cabbage in stocking” punishment to absurd lengths.’

“She’s out to penalize anyone she thinks deserves it, and that includes almost everyone.”

Tracee Ellis Ross (50) stars as Chris’s wife, Carol, who keeps the family’s finances together and is looking for a promotion at the distribution center where she works as an executive.

“When Christmas and her family are threatened by supernatural forces, her Mama Bear instincts kick in full force,” Reginald argued.
