Candice Warner arrives home carrying a $15,000 Hermes Birkin bag

Candice Warner looked downcast on Monday when she arrived at her home in Maroubra, Sydney, after her explosive sit-down interview with The Sunday Project.

On the talk show with host Sarah Harris, the 38-year-old cricket WAG addressed her infamous 2007 ‘toilet date’ with rugby player Sonny Bill Williams.

The morning after the segment aired on the Channel 10 show, the former Ironwoman was seen getting out of her car before entering the multi-million dollar home she shares with husband David Warner.

Candice kept warm in beige slacks, a black top and khaki trench coat while carrying a navy blue Hermès Birkin handbag, valued between $12,000 and $15,000.

She showed off her new brunette haircut after cutting her highlighted locks above her shoulders earlier this year.

The Triple M radio host was accompanied by a gold necklace, earrings and $700 cat-eye sunglasses from Bottega Veneta.

The sighting came less than 24 hours after her amazing TV interview in which she spoke about the moment she was on the verge of ending her life amid the humiliating consequences of her encounter with Williams.

She told The Sunday Project that she was standing on a cliff at an infamous suicide spot and considered jumping off.

“I just thought, ‘This is it.’ I just couldn’t take it anymore. I couldn’t handle the headlines. I couldn’t bear to disappoint my parents. I couldn’t handle it all. It was all too much,” she said, bursting into tears.

She said she called her brother Pat, who came to her rescue.

“From that point on, Pat came to my house to check on a daily basis, and I felt like I had to get to that point to move on to some degree,” she added.

“It’s really real to me. It’s the pain I’ve inflicted on my family. It’s the ache and pain, it was so deep.’

Candice said she felt her treatment was “unfair” and reflected a “double standard.”

“Most women were treated that way. For men, it was high-fives and “tell me all the details,” but for women, we were pigeonholed to be a certain person or type of person,” she said.

“It amazes me to this day how I was forced to apologize for a pash I had – a drunken pash I had on a night out.”

She also insisted she didn’t have sex and the pair exchanged no more than a kiss before being photographed from the adjoining bathroom cubicle.

‘We kissed. We kissed in that booth and who knows what could have happened? Maybe things happened. I don’t know, and I’ll never know,” she said, adding that she regretted not stopping the photographer and asking them to remove the photo.

“What I do know is that I probably could have stopped the distribution of that photo. I should have just picked up that phone and removed it. I shouldn’t have gone to the men’s room, but I can’t change that.’

Over the weekend, Candice described how her life was “ruined” when her 2007 encounter in the men’s room of the Clovelly Hotel was made public.

“I was so close to ending it,” she shared Stellar magazine.

“The only thing I did wrong was go to a place I shouldn’t have been. That was it. Still, it ruined my life. It ruined parts of my family’s life – years we can never get back’

Candice went on to say she dreads explaining the deal to her young daughters when they are old enough.

“It’s so hard to put into words without breaking into tears because it was so painful. It still is,” she said.

“One day I’ll have to explain to my girls what it’s all about. That’s heartbreaking.”

The athlete said she lost her job after the scandal and that “no one respected her.”

The media company News Ltd, owned by Rupert Murdoch, initially published her ‘toilet tryst’ images.

Candice was only 22 when the incident took place and said she had a hard time dealing with the public humiliation and subsequent fallout.

Candice has previously spoken about the night she was caught in a bathroom with Williams, 35, on a night out at the Clovelly Hotel in 2007.

Candice was only 22 when the incident took place and said she had a hard time dealing with the public humiliation and subsequent fallout.

“I was almost suicidal. I’ve been through a lot at such a young age. I got to the point where I literally couldn’t take it anymore,” she told The Daily Telegraph in 2020.

The model was abused again after her husband David was caught cheating during a test match in South Africa in 2018.

Candice is currently publicizing her telltale memoir Running Strong, for which she raked in an eye-watering $80,000 advance.
