Candice Swanepoel shows off midriff while cheering Brazil to victory at World Cup opener in Qatar

Candice Swanepoel said she supports Brazil in the country’s bid to regain past glory and win its sixth World Cup trophy.

Earlier on Thursday, the South African model took to her Instagram Stories and shared a photo of herself excitedly raising the Brazilian flag above her head while dressed in the team’s colours.

And the mum-of-two had plenty of reasons to cheer after Team Brazil’s 2-0 victory over Serbia to kick off their World Cup campaign in Lusail, Qatar.

With the photo, Swanepoel is sure to grab the attention of many of her 18.6 million Instagram fans and followers by wearing a cropped yellow and green Team Brazil jersey.

By throwing her arms in the air, presumably after they defeated Serbia, she showed all of her midriff.

The runway queen rounded out her contest day outfit by slipping into a pair of jeans and letting her blonde locks be styled in a block style, straight and flowing over her chest and down the center of her back with a center parting.

Apparently, the beauty got so excited that she stuck out her tongue while seemingly screaming out loud.

Famed Tottenham striker Richarlison scored Brazil’s two goals, including an acrobatic kick that went into the back of the net, in a match that saw the team’s feared player Neymar go down with a right ankle injury, according to ESPN.

Brazil will now have to wait between 24 and 48 hours to find out if Neymar will play at the tournament again this year, team doctors reported.

While Swanepoel may not be from Brazil, several of her friends and fellow Victoria’s Secret Angels call the country home, including Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima.

Swanapoel’s homeland of South Africa failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and was not competitive enough to compete in three consecutive tournaments since the 2010 edition, where it finished third in Group A.

Brazil’s five World Cup victories over the years were in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and most recently in 2002.

The FIFA World Cup was first held in 1930 when FIFA, the world football association, decided to organize an international men’s football tournament under the era of FIFA President Jules Rimet who put this idea into practice.
