Candace Owens has been suspended from YouTube for hate speech against the LGBTQ community.

Daily Wire co-host Michael Knowles revealed the news in a short video on the show’s YouTube channel, explaining why he appeared on set alone.

Knowles explained that Owens had been suspended from the platform and that the entire network’s YouTube channel could be in jeopardy if she appeared on camera.

Instead, they will move to a livestream to the paid website Daily Wire+, with Knowles claiming, “YouTube, you see, hates us.”

“As vague as it is, some call them tyrannical guidelines and their tendency to censor conservative voices has gotten my friend Candace banned again,” he said.

“Ban her from posting or appearing on any of the Daily Wire’s YouTube channels.”

Knowles went on to say that this “shouldn’t come as a shock at this point,” adding, “eEveryone here at The Daily Wire has been in YouTube jail for one reason or another.”

Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing stated in June that Owens and Knowles had each received two strikes against their accounts for violating YouTube’s hate speech policy. Media matters reported.

Three strikes against a YouTube account within 90 days can result in its termination.

A YouTube spokesperson told the outlet, “We have issued a strike to the Candace Owens Podcast channel for violating our hate speech policy, which prohibits content that promotes hate against protected individuals or groups, including the LGBTQ+ community. ‘

The “Carlee Russell The Female Jussie Smollet” video has reportedly been removed from Owens’ channel.

The video features an interview titled “Is Homosexuality Ruining Western Civilization?” and included the claim that “it is gay men who abuse children” in the Catholic Church.

Knowles responded to his own suspension by removing the most extreme LGBTQ rhetoric from his show and told his audience they could find it on the Daily Wire website. However, Owens continued.

Previous content presented by Owens included accusations that anyone who shopped at Target was “gay” and a “pervert” and claimed that “transgenderism is a cancer and we must fight it.”

YouTube’s hate speech policy states that content that “repeatedly targets, insults, and abuses a group based on protected group status across multiple uploads” may result in penalties.
