Candace Owens is eviscerated for ‘despicable and dangerous’ denial of Nazi holocaust atrocities including SS ‘Angel of Death’ Mengele’s horrific experiments on twins at Auschwitz

Candace Owens is under fire for her “despicable” denial of Holocaust atrocities, including the human experiments Nazi doctor Josef Mengele performed on prisoners at Auschwitz.

The 35-year-old controversial conservative commentator has been criticised for her “increasing embrace of anti-Semitic clichés” after she claimed on her show last week that Mengele’s horrific twin experiments were “bizarre propaganda”.

Mengele, nicknamed the “Angel of Death” because he decided who would be killed in the gas chambers, carried out a series of brutal tests on twins during the war, including sewing them together to create conjoined twins.

Of the 1,500 twins subjected to his horrific and often deadly experiments, only about 200 survived.

The commentator is now facing criticism for her “historically inaccurate” comments. The Anti-Defamation League, which was founded to combat anti-Semitism, bigotry and discrimination, has warned that her vile commentary is “dangerous.”

“It is difficult to argue less than Candace Owens’ claim that Mengele’s twin experiments at the Auschwitz death camp during the Holocaust were propaganda,” a spokesperson for the New York-based organization told DailyMail.com.

‘Mengele’s experiments were extensively documented – including by himself – and photographed. Moreover, some of his victims survived and testified about these atrocities.

Owens’ denial of the Holocaust shows her increasing embrace of anti-Semitic elements.

“To question the evil nature of Hitler and his regime and to claim that America and the Allies were the ones carrying out ethnic cleansing against Germany is not only historically inaccurate, but despicable and dangerous.”

Irina Tsukerman, a human rights and national security attorney and geopolitical analyst, also warned that Owens is “normalizing and mainstreaming anti-Semitism and a pro-Nazi agenda.”

“Owens’ comments are dangerous because they fuel Holocaust denial, minimize Nazi crimes against humanity, dehumanize and vilify Jews and support the spread of hateful conspiracy theories,” she told DailyMail.com. “But they are also likely the product of state propaganda.”

Tsukerman argued that the “structure” of Owens’ rhetoric “is closely related to the content of the questions and conspiracy theories produced by leading Russian propaganda outlets.”

The attorney acknowledged that Owens has lost “a lot of support” because of her hateful comments, but warned that through her “large following” she continues to “radicalize her base and normalize and mainstream anti-Semitism and a pro-Nazi agenda.”

Mengele was perhaps the most famous Nazi doctor for his experiments on twins at Auschwitz. Pictured are twins Thomas (left) and Peter Somogyi (right) who were handed over to Mengele during the Holocaust.

Owens, in episode 17 of her show Candace, seemingly attempted to dispute the historical accounts of how the Nazis experimented on Jews during the Holocaust.

“It’s etched in our memories: the Nazis experimented on innocent people,” she said.

‘I mean, some of the stories sound completely absurd, like the idea that they would just cut a person up into pieces and then sew them back together.

“Why would you do that? Even if you’re the most evil person in the world, that’s a huge waste of time and materials. Just cutting someone in half and sewing them back together? That just sounds like bizarre propaganda.”

However, the Nazis extensively documented the human experiments they conducted during World War II.

From 1933 to 1945, Adolf Hitler and other powerful Nazi leaders, such as Heinrich Himmler, waged a campaign to “purify” German society of people they saw as a biological threat to the ideal Aryan race.

Nazi Germany’s racial policy determined that Jews, Roma, and Slavic peoples—including Poles, Czechs, Russians, and Serbs—were “racially inferior subhumans” and therefore to be eliminated from society.

Nazi officials employed physicians and medically trained geneticists, psychiatrists, and anthropologists to develop their policies on race and to attempt to create Nazi super soldiers.

Mengele was perhaps the most famous Nazi doctor for his experiments on twins at Auschwitz.

From 1943 to 1944, his experiments were of particular interest to the Nazi high command, because one twin could serve as a test subject and the other as a control group. It was also hoped that his research would help the Nazis to produce more twins.

Mengele’s brutal tests included amputating healthy limbs, deliberately infecting twins with diseases such as typhoid, administering blood transfusions from one twin to the other, and sewing twins together to create conjoined twins.

Eva-Mozes Kor, a survivor, alleged that Mengele transfused blood into opposite-sex twins to change their sex. She experimented on twins’ genitals and attempted to attach a seven-year-old girl’s urinary tract to her own colon.

Most of the twins died during Mengele’s procedures, but if a few survived, they were killed and dissected for comparative autopsies.

Social media users have also slammed Owens for the denial, calling her a “degenerate” and “one of the dumbest and most despicable people on the planet.”

“This is her worst performance ever,” wrote one X user.

“Candy-O is a narcissist. She knows it’s a lie but really wants the clicks,” tweeted another. “Wants to be relevant so bad.”

“Vile is a nice word for what she has chosen to become… but vile is a good start,” added another.

Some critics even questioned her sanity, with one tweeting: ‘Wow, she’s totally out of her mind.’

One of them said they were “afraid something had happened to Candace” because her comments had become “increasingly bizarre” over the years.

Another added that she “really needs help.”

Owens’ denial of Holocaust atrocities is the latest scandal to plague the controversial commentator.

In March, she left The Daily Wire, the network where her show was hosted, after weeks of tension with Ben Shapiro, co-founder of the right-wing newspaper, over the war between Israel and Hamas and her spreading of various conspiracy theories.

She is also involved in heated online debates with various members of the Jewish community.

Last year, she was also suspended from YouTube for alleged hate speech against the LGBTQ community.
