Cancer stricken Juliet and Peri enjoy an emotional trip to Brighton

Hollyoaks has confirmed full details of Juliet and Peri’s upcoming trip to Brighton, where they will be joined by RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard.

The couple, who have recently rekindled their romance, head to the seaside town as Juliet is determined to distract her girlfriend while she awaits the results of Juliet’s PET scan in the midst of her ongoing cancer treatment.

The character was inspired to arrange the trip after Juliet showed a surprise interest in Ste and James’s wedding plans before opening up about her difficult childhood and her desire to visit the beach.

Not having the money herself, she turns to James to help finance the trip, but James is initially concerned about the risks to his sister’s health. However, Ste soon talks him into helping him.

When they arrive at their hotel with their luxury suite and stunning views, Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw) is in awe of the effort Peri (Ruby O’Donnell) has put into it.

And soon the couple is having the time of their lives as they enjoy the beach, winning prizes in the arcade before enjoying a romantic moment on the beach.

However, when they later party all night, Peri is shocked to find that all her belongings are gone, and the couple is worried about how they will get back to Chester.

With the girls in need of a miracle, their fairy drag mother, Ru Paul’s Drag Race winner Danny Beard, arrives to save the day.

The next morning, as the three of them battle fierce hangovers, they pile into Danny’s haul car and begin the journey back to Chester.

Peri and Danny vow to make the trip home as memorable as possible in an attempt to keep Juliet away from her test results.

However, they suffer an unfortunate setback as during Danny’s live broadcast, an offensive comment leaves Juliet crushed.

But some kind words of wisdom from Danny and a special makeover soon lift her spirits.

Later, back in the village, Peri breaks down with Nadira at the hospital as she confides in her about her fears.

Meanwhile, actress Niamh Blackshaw told the story of Digital Spy of Juliet: “It’s going to be an emotional year, and I think it’s going to be a central story.” [in 2023]. It’s going to be a long hard road and that’s all I can say.

‘I know the fundamental journey, but I don’t know how we’re going to get there. It’s definitely something they’re telling me during the process, which adds to the reality in a way.’
