Canberra road rage attack: SEI driver swerves into couple on highway

Shocking footage has captured the moment a driver allegedly swerved into a car on a busy motorway in a terrifying road rage attack.

A woman and her partner were driving along Majura Parkway in Canberra when a white Toyota Hilux vehicle approached from behind at 5.45pm last Sunday.

The footage showed the ute flashing its lights and honking its horn as the driver allegedly followed the two men.

“I’m really scared,” one woman said. “Should I call the cops?” Where are we? I’m going to call the cops.

The SUV is then seen in the footage heading towards the right lane with the driver shouting and gesturing wildly.

The driver allegedly swerved, cutting the front right side of the car.

“Ohhh no, bro,” the other driver said.

The passenger can be heard calling the police as the incident unfolds.

“There’s this guy and he’s trying to run us off the road,” she said. “He just keeps swerving.”

A 39-year-old man allegedly driving the ute was arrested Tuesday and charged with driving while furious and driving with a suspended license.

“The driver of the other vehicle chose to cross the curb to avoid further confrontation.”

He is due in court on October 4.
