Kennedy Chelan, a Canadian expat living in Queensland, has listed the different types of Australian men she sees a lot on dating apps.

“This orange color makes me fucking sick right now simply because I’ve seen it too much and for some reason being a chippy or a spark is your whole personality,” Kennedy said pointing to a high visibility shirt on a video Posted on TikTok.

Second on Kennedy’s list was the “boy from Melbourne” who she says usually includes a photo of themselves “mysteriously” drinking a cocktail in a bar “that you’re not good enough to know about” in their profiles.

“I’m sure they put out a public announcement that to be a Melbourne boy, you have to have a picture of yourself at the races,” she joked.

“The second requirement is that somewhere in your profile you mention almond croissants, bonus points if you debate where the best almond croissant is in Melbourne.”

Kennedy’s ‘favorite’ type of Aussie is the ‘moustache tattoo guy’.

There are a billion of you out there, but only a few of you are doing it right. You probably listen to great music and have better shoes than me,” he said.

She blasted ‘surfer dudes’, saying they were cool, had long hair, tanned skin, and were generally a bit skinny.

There is a lot of you. You take really aesthetic photos, there’s probably a photo of you surfing, a close-up, and then a photo on film,” he said.

Another guy Kennedy said he sees on dating apps is the Gold Coast guy whose “life is the gym.”

“He gets really rowdy on the weekends, he probably dunks in some illicit substances and yeah, their names are still things like Brad,” he said.

“This type of profile probably says something about looking for a girl with a nice ass or hanging out with the guys on Saturday over a couple of beers.”

Kennedy finally brought up the infamous bogans that exist, showing an image of a man in a boat wearing fish flip-flops.

“I feel like the word vogue, I don’t like to say it seems offensive, but everyone still says it,” he said.

I’ve seen it, I don’t mind seeing it again.

Viewers were thrilled by Kennedy’s hilarious and ‘accurate’ observations and suggested that he travel the country to meet more ‘types’ of Australian boys.

There are a couple of variants that you can come across. The Cashed Up Bogan usually in WA, and the Sydney suburbs Easter Hipster,’ said one man.

‘Oh man, I’m like all these guys rolled into one. Surfer, tradie, gym guy who likes cars,” another replied.

“You forgot the millions of men who wear a flat brim surf cap, Oakleys, a Billabong T-shirt and shorts with sandals,” one woman noted.
