Canada nature lover’s horror when cam reveals two near-naked people eating an animal carcass
A wildlife enthusiast was horrified after claiming her wildlife camera captured a scantily clad woman and a nearly naked man “holding a carcass-eating ritual” just meters from her home.
Corinea Stanhope found a dead deer at the bottom of her garden in Canada’s Powell River – north of Vancouver, British Columbia – while riding one of her horses and decided to set up a camera to see if it was nighttime. would attract animals.
But the 36-year-old claimed she couldn’t believe her eyes when she and grandfather Bob, 76, checked the footage the next day and saw two half-naked women appear on top of the corpse.
Images showed what appeared to be two figures with long, matted, black hair, dressed in only a piece of cloth covering their buttocks, standing over the dead deer.

With their hair in front of their faces, the figures appear to crouch and reach for the carcass with long fingers before picking up a hoof and taking a bite.
Stanhope says she was terrified because her house is only a two-minute walk from where the figures lurked and she keeps her three horses on the same land.
After sharing the terrifying footage online last week, the nature lover was inundated with comments from petrified social media users urging her to “call the police” and suggest they were witches, “walking demons” or even kendos.
Stanhope said, “There was a dead deer so me and my grandpa put a camera on the track to see if we could see any animals and we got a bobcat [on camera]which was pretty cool.
“I came the next day and Grandpa said he had naked people on camera and I said, ‘No, you didn’t. Bullsh*t’, he showed me.
“I don’t know what the hell was up with that. It really scared us, it’s not something you see every day.
‘They came ten minutes after sunset. They looked unkempt. It looks like they’re wearing wigs. One looks like she has blonde hair underneath.

“You can’t really see it in the pictures, but the hoof was brought up to her mouth.
“I don’t know if she kissed it, smelled it, or ate it, but touching a rotting carcass like that makes me feel sick. The amount of bacteria that must have been there.
“Maybe they paid their respects, but were naked.
“It really scared me because it’s only a two minute walk from our house and I was worried about them messing with my horses at night.”
The mother-of-three shared the footage on social media and people in the area were convinced she had caught witches, evil spirits, demons or a local cult performing a ritual on camera.
Stanhope said, “A lot of people called skin walkers and kendos.
“There are rumors in town about a cult collecting animal bones. I don’t know if it’s real or not.
“Some people have mentioned it since I posted the photos. A friend said they came across two people in the woods carrying some dead squirrels.
“The horses always get very scared and nervous in that area. At first I thought they were imagining things, so I thought nothing of it. Maybe I believe them now.’
Stanhope said she was tempted to contact the police, but Bob pointed out they weren’t doing anything illegal and she hopes passersby saw the camera and decided to pull a prank.
Stanhope also saw on video other animals surrounding the dead carcass

Stanhope said, “I hope they went for a walk during the day, saw the camera set up and wanted to have some fun with us, or they were on some good drugs.
“I wanted to go to the police, but my grandpa said no, they weren’t technically doing anything illegal. He was quite mortified.’
Despite Stanhope trying to explain the bizarre footage as possibly a joke, social media users were less convinced and warned her to be careful.
One wrote: ‘This is actually terrifying.’
Another said, ‘That’s a skin walker, they look ‘human’ so you come up to them and once you do you’re gone.
“Nobody would just eat a dead thing unless it was a wild animal.
“That’s actually a walking demon from hell. If you hear screaming, stay inside and grab a gun and leave it alone.”
A third added: ‘I’d say ruiko. Please stay safe and don’t go out alone.’
Commentators urged them to contact the police, while others tried to reassure them that it was probably just a joke.
One commenter said: ‘I think it was a joke. In the last photo it looks like you can see curly blonde hair under a long black wig (the figure closest to the camera).’
A second wrote, “Okay, so I hate being that person, but did you call the police?”
