The mysterious star was also featured in a series of other snapshots for the magazine.

In one, she was seen leaning against a silver ball camper with her arms folded and her head bowed to the ground.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel wore a brimmed hat atop shocking orange locks with an eclectic outfit ensemble that boasted a dressy cage.

She reappeared in a black-and-white image as she stared longingly out the RV window with her head resting on her hand.

For anyone who has yet to work it out, the bomb is Karlie Kloss.

The supermodel’s edgy new look was styled by magazine editor Carine Roitfeld and brought to life by creative guest directors Kate Aubrey and Kyra Griffin.

Roitfeld said the forthcoming issue is dedicated to the beauty of Mother Nature.

She said: “It is time to think about our legacy, not just as what we will be remembered for, but how future generations can benefit from it.

“I hope this song is a reminder that nature isn’t forever if we don’t all take action now.”

But Kloss wasn’t the only famous face to appear in the upcoming addition.

Seven other covers were also produced with SZA, Ever Anderson, Emma Chamberlain, Saskia De Brauw, Gabbriette and Abby Champion.

And 59-year-old TV star Lisa Rinna, best known for her role in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, was also one of them.

Her cover photo, styled by Youssef Marquis, showed her vacuuming in a billowing red dress, but it was the snapshot of her kicking back with tanning goggles that was most unexpected.

The lenses created a piercing stare effect that was enhanced by the styling of her eyebrows which had been bleached and redrawn in pencil.
