This adult youth star was Hollywood’s young darling in his breakout role in 1994.
Now the actor is 38 years old and although he does not wear glasses like his character, he still has a very similar and stylish haircut.
His most infamous line from the hit movie that made him famous 29 years ago was, “It’s an emergency.” She says you’re running out of Peanut Butter Super Chunks.”
So, did you guess who it is?

It’s answer time for those who didn’t catch on: The charismatic actor is Blake Mclver Ewing who famously played the role of Waldo in The Little Rascals.
Some other cute youngsters staring next to him were Bug Hall, now 38; Brittany Ashton Holmes, now 34; Kevin Jamal Woods, now 36; and much more.
Blake was born in Los Angeles and coincidentally, the hit film was shot on locations around the city, such as the Venice Canal Walkway.
During the filming of the movie, the actor was only nine years old and played the villain who tried to steal his crush, Darla, from Alfalfa.
Blake was starring on Full House as the character Derek S. Boyd when auditions for The Little Rascals were announced.
The actor recalled auditioning for the film five times during the nationwide search and was intimidated when he saw the other kids around him go for the same role.
His most unnerving moment during the trial, however, was 76-year-old Steven Spielberg, who produced the uncredited film “less than six feet away.”
He found that memory “shocking” because he knew from an early age the caliber of who Steven was Vulture.

Prior to filming his infamous singing scene for Darla, director Penelope Spheeris, 77, didn’t know he could sing and Penelope was shocked when Blake beautifully sang Nat King Cole’s LOVE.
Blake remembered Penelope’s surprised reaction and then joked to her, “Well, I won Star Search. It was on my resume.’
He spoke of the great times he had on set with his new found family, saying, “We were a unit. It felt like I went nowhere for almost a year without another cast member with me. It was a lot like a weird summer camp – just not in the summer.”
Blake also spoke about why one of the lines on his YouTube page currently states he’s “a self-proclaimed recovering child actor.”
He explained, “Even though I made the choices and the choices weren’t made for me [to audition], you’re still giving things up and you’re still developing as a human being and as an adult in a very different way than anyone else. That’s what all child actors have in common.’
Not only has Blake continued acting in his adult life, but he has also continued to do voiceovers, become a singer, and even a composer.

His YouTube biography also states, “Blake Mclver has performed for millions of people since he was six years old when he won the title of Star Search’s Junior Vocalist Champion. This led to a film and television career with The Little Rascals, Full House, Home Improvement, The Nanny, The Drew Carey Show, Clueless and many others.
Blake has voiced animated characters in movies and TV shows such as Tarzan, The Little Mermaid II, Anastasia, Recess, and Hey Arnold.
Blake has also worked extensively as a singer for artists such as Michael Jackson, David Foster, Natalie Cole and Barry Manilow to name a few. A self-described “recovering child actor,” Blake now returns to singing and songwriting, his original passions.”
He graduated from the University of California – studying in the Department of Theater, Film and Television – according to the University of Mississippi, where he is currently a Visiting Artist for Opera in the school’s music department.

Blake wrote and co-produced his own solo album, The Time Manipulator. He also did a world premiere of the musical Ragtime.
He then led his own theater company called Youth Musical Theater Association and also directed projects.
Blake directed Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida at the Thousand Oaks Performing Arts Center and produced The Light in the Piazza at the El Portal Theater.
He also served as director and choreographer for Ariana Savalas’ US Tour and two off-Broadway productions for Jackie Cox. Blake was also a regular on Bravo’s social commentary show The People’s Couch.
In 2020, he made a comeback in the revamped ’30 Years Later’ Fuller House show playing his original character, Derek Boyd, who is also now an adult. In the same year he composed for the documentary We Don’t Deserve Dogs.
Blake also directed at Hollywood’s Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts, overseeing the creation of West Side Story, Bring It On: The Musical and more recently Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

When he’s not working on set, he’s training aspiring actors and singers, and has been doing so for 15 years.
In addition to his successful career, Blake also made time for a thriving love life. Blake started dating his now husband Emerson Collins, 38, in 2015.
Emerson is an actor and producer. He starred in the movies, Another Coffeehouse Chronicles Movie and Rent: Live.
He produced projects such as Six Characters In Search Of A Play and A Very Sordid Wedding. Besides Blake, he can also be seen regularly on Bravo’s The People’s House.
During the pandemic, the two wrote a musical cabaret script called I Dreamed A Dreamgirl.
After the 2022 lockdown, they launched their creation as a national tour and the show covers stories about their careers and their relationship.
