Jim, a sharp-eyed villager, captured the little owls perched on the building in Tideswell, Peak District.

Jim, from nearby Foolow, said: “I often look for owlets on walls and rocks.”
The little owl is a small bird that was introduced to the United Kingdom in the 19th century. Often perches on telegraph poles, trees, and rocks.
The bird is known to shake its head when threatened. And in the UK there are 3,600 breeding pairs.
In flight it has long, rounded wings, flaps rapidly, and flies with a slight undulation. It feeds on small mammals and birds, beetles, and worms.
“Since we have at least ten nesting sites nearby, every day, without fail, I see one of them,” Jim added.
“They seem to be breeding very well here in the Peak District National Park.”
