Lego Fortnite has added the sandbox survival game mode Fortnite in Chapter 5 Season 1, but can you actually complete your Battle Pass just by playing it?
The short answer is yes, you can earn XP in Lego Fortnite, but there is a daily limit.
How to Earn XP in Lego Fortnite
The game doesn't tell you when you'll earn XP, but you'll get levels and battle stars once you exit the game mode.
While playing Lego Fortnite or just leaving it on, you get 30,000 XP every 15 minutes. After you earn 420,000 XP (which would take about 3.5 hours), you end the day and earn no more XP, while that much XP will get you about five levels. That said, you could technically leave your Lego Fortnite on in a creative world while you do other things and gain free levels every day this way.
There are also a few tutorial missions that give you a level each.
You can gain up to four levels by completing a few tutorial-level quests, such as starting a creative world, building a survival workbench, and entering a cave.
