Tentacool, the jellyfish Pokemon from Kanto, can be found in the wild pokemongo. Yes, Tentacool can shine pokemongo!
Tentacool and Tentacruel are not viable in PvE or PvP content, but shiny fighters will still want to get their hands on these awesome shinies.
What is the shiny rate for Tentacool in Pokémon Go?
According to old research from the now-defunct website The Silph Road (via Wayback machine), the Shiny Speed for Pokémon is about one in 500 on a normal day. Tentacool is not a confirmed Pokémon that gets a “permaboost” (meaning it is a rare spawn and thus gains an increased Shiny Speed).
What can I do to attract more Shiny Pokémon?
Not much, unfortunately. It seems to be a random coincidence. Catch rates for Shiny Pokémon are determined by developer Niantic and typically only increase during special events such as Community Days or Safari Zones, or during Legendary Raids. There are no consumables that increase rates for Shiny Pokémon.
Where can I find a list of available Shiny Pokémon?
LeekDuck loves a list of currently available Shiny Pokémon. It’s a handy visual guide that illustrates what all existing Shiny Pokémon look like.
