It’s the fashionable bunion busters that keep the queen consort comfortably afloat during the hundreds of official visits and walkabouts she undertakes each year.
Now, Camilla’s status as a style setter has inspired a host of celebrities to start wearing shoes from London-based Sole Bliss as well.
Bake Off stars Prue Leith and Dame Mary Berry, strict judge Shirley Ballas, tennis coach Judy Murray, film ladies Helen Mirren and Joanna Lumley and former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton are among the celebrities spotted in the brand.
London-based Sole Bliss are the fashionable bunion busters that keep the Queen Consort comfortably afloat during hundreds of official visits and walkabouts each year.
Camilla became an unofficial ambassador for the company after reluctantly accepting that her days in heels over two inches were behind her as she turned 70.
She was first seen in a Sole Bliss shoe – a £149 Ingrid camel leather block heel – at the Royal Cornwall Show in 2018.
“When I saw a photo online, I was so excited that I jumped up and knocked over my Aperol Spritz,” said company founder Lisa Kay.
Since then, Camilla has bought more than a dozen pairs of their shoes, which she wore to almost every royal engagement, including the one the week after the Queen’s death, when she nursed a broken toe.
The Queen Consort even directly sang the praises of the brand.
Dame Mary recently revealed: ‘I have started wearing new high heels recommended to me by the Duchess of Cornwall. I used to buy all my shoes from Russell & Bromley, but now I wear these. They are very good value.’
Camilla, 75, was once known for her love of Chanel shoes, with their classic interwoven CC logos symbolizing her relationship with Charles.

Sole Bliss shoes are wider than other brands and have cushioned soles and deeper toe boxes to reduce the pain of bunions, which affect more than a third of women over 30.
When sales of its more formal shoes took a nosedive during lockdown, the company added trainers to their range – designed with the help of a team of podiatrists to include an ‘innovative bunion bed’ – adding to their appeal. became.
