Can EU states agree to a deal on migration?

Ministers are looking for solutions for rising numbers of refugees and migrants on their way to Europe.

Ministers from all countries of the European Union are working on how to deal with the tens of thousands of people seeking a better life in the bloc.

However, it will not be easy to find consensus among all 27 members.

In 2015, Europe tried to find a lasting solution for the millions of people who were forced to push their borders because of the civil war in Syria.

A problem left unresolved led Turkey to loosen its borders and open the gates to Europe’s doorstep.

So, what are the challenges? And can they strike a balance that works for those making the often perilous journey to Europe?
